Sausmarez Farmer's Market
I have posted about these markets before but I just had to show how much lovely produce you can buy for less than £20.
Pink Eye Potatoes, cherry tomatoes, sandwich tomatoes, garlic, plums, zucchini (courgettes to Guern, must be the French influence), green beans, apples, eggs, chillies and Butternut pumpkin (squash to Guerns).
Local produce always tastes better as, quite simply, it has to be fresher, hardly any food miles :)
We try to buy as many of our vegetables at the markets or from the hedge vege stalls as we can. They are usually far cheaper than the supermarkets and nearly always last longer; if they get a chance.
