Penguin Playground

Each half term the staff at our primary school decorate the foyer in a different theme.

This half term it is the Penguin Playground for Christmas. There are penguin story and factual books, penguin activity sheets, a large blow-up penguin and a penguin decorated Christmas Tree.

Every child in the school has a piece of art work on display. I think it gives the children not only a sense of pride in themselves and their work, but also in their school and the community they are apart of through the school.

The staff and the children put in so much work; it always looks fabulous and makes the entrance to the school so welcoming.

I just love Christmas, it tends to bring out the best in us all :)

  1. Good Morning Sweetie...
This is a wonderful idea, and I so love the penguins that all of the children have created. Penguins are very Christmas and festive. They just have the sweetest little faces. I so love the way they tuck their little babies in to keep them warm. I loved the movie "Happy Feet". Just darling. Thanks for sharing.

Please stop by and say hi. I love the company. Country hugs...Sherry

  2. My grandson absolutely LOVES penguins. I had no idea how much until this last visit. We watched the March of the Penguins, and Happy Feet. We bought all kinds of penguin notions etc...I will be sending this link to my daughter now back in Idaho to share with him.

What an absolutely adorable idea. Thank you so much for sharing...
